The Recycling Center opens Monday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. That is the whole week, and it takes checks only: no cash, no cards.
Halifax runs its own curbside program at $440 a year, billed twice. Residents not enrolled in it pay $75 for a Recycling Center sticker instead.

$30 a month for two 64-gallon totes, $35 for a 96-gallon trash tote with a 64-gallon recycling tote, and $40 for two 96-gallon totes. One flat monthly rate, totes included, no hidden fees.
A 64-gallon tote holds about four large kitchen bags and a 96-gallon tote about seven. One or two people usually fit in the 64. A household of four or more usually needs the 96. If you outgrow it, call and we swap it.
