Bulk Prices$7 per brown bag. Hingham includes one yard waste trip a week and charges for the extra ones. We take as much as you have.
Call Today!Plenty of Hingham households take their own trash to the transfer station on Sam Ryder Road, and for some of them that is the right call. Here is the honest comparison.
Hingham's resident transfer station permit is free, one per household, with a second vehicle at $25 a year. What the permit does not cover is the fifty-two trips a year it takes to use it.
The station opens Thursday to Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If your week does not have a free Thursday to Sunday in it, that is the catch.
A mattress is $20 and a large appliance $15 at the gate. What it costs you instead is fifty-two round trips a year, roughly 26 hours, plus a vehicle that will take a sofa.
Every Monday, from your curb, for $30 a month flat, with bi-weekly recycling. Curbside or up the driveway if you cannot get the totes out. Bulky items are a phone call and a price we tell you before we come.

Every Monday. Have your totes at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Recycling is collected every other week on the same day. In a holiday week your pickup moves one day later. See the holiday schedule.
$30 a month for two 64-gallon totes, $35 for a 96-gallon trash tote with a 64-gallon recycling tote, and $40 for two 96-gallon totes. One flat monthly rate, totes included, no hidden fees. In-driveway pickup, where we come up the driveway for the totes, is $115 to $135 a month.
A 64-gallon tote holds about four large kitchen bags and a 96-gallon tote about seven. One or two people usually fit in the 64. A household of four or more usually needs the 96. If you outgrow it, call and we swap it.
