Call Today!Plenty of Kingston households buy a sticker for the Recycling and Disposal Center on Cranberry Road, and for some of them that is the right call. Here is the honest comparison.
Kingston's FY27 sticker is $280, or $140 at 65 and over and for veterans, with a second sticker at $60. Check or money order only, and sold only at the Streets, Trees & Parks office on Evergreen Street, weekdays 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., so buying it is its own weekday errand.
Brush and chipping are taken on the third Saturday of April, July and October only, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. That is three days in the whole year. Miss them and the pile sits until the next one.
Open Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday from 10:00 a.m., and closed Thursday, Friday and twelve public holidays. Roughly 26 hours a year of your time, unpaid, and nothing bigger than a one-ton vehicle is allowed in.
Every Friday, a day the center is shut, from your curb, for $35 a month flat, which is $420 a year against the sticker's $280 plus every trip. Yard waste is $7 a brown bag on call, any week of the year, not three Saturdays.
Town of Kingston Recycling and Disposal Center FY27 Rules: 2026-2027 sticker fees, hours of operation and brush schedule as published by the town. Check with the town before you go.
Every Friday. Have your totes at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Recycling is collected the same day, every week. In a holiday week your pickup moves one day later. See the holiday schedule.
$35 a month for two 64-gallon totes, $40 for a 96-gallon trash tote with a 64-gallon recycling tote, and $45 for two 96-gallon totes. One flat monthly rate, totes included, no hidden fees. In-driveway pickup, where we come up the driveway for the totes, is $115 to $135 a month.
A 64-gallon tote holds about four large kitchen bags and a 96-gallon tote about seven. One or two people usually fit in the 64. A household of four or more usually needs the 96. If you outgrow it, call and we swap it.
Fill out the sign-up form online, any time, or call 508-822-2208. We call back during office hours to confirm your pickup day, tote size and start date. Nothing is billed until your first collection.
