Mattresses, furniture, appliances, TVs and tires cannot go in your tote, but we pick them up by appointment at a flat price per item.
Bulk Prices$7 per brown bag. Scituate's Driftway drop-off is there if you want to load the car and drive it over. We come to you instead.
Call Today!Plenty of Scituate households buy a sticker for the transfer station on the Driftway, and for some of them that is the right call. Here is the honest comparison.
Scituate charges $75 for a mattress and $75 for a box spring, the highest bed disposal fee of any town we serve, by some distance. Furniture is $35 an item or scale weight, and bulky waste is billed by the ton.
A vehicle sticker is $140, or $75 for seniors and $60 for a second car at the same address. That is admission only. Trash then goes out in the town's blue bags at $20 for ten 30-gallon, so another $2 every bag.
The station opens 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday through Tuesday and is closed Wednesday and Thursday, with the pit shutting at 3:00 and no large loads or trailers after that. We collect in Scituate on Thursday, one of the two days you could not go anyway.
Every Thursday, from your curb, for $35 a month flat, with bi-weekly recycling and no bags to buy. Bulky items are a phone call and a flat price. A mattress goes on the truck instead of costing you $75 at the scale.

Every Thursday. Have your totes at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Recycling is collected every other week on the same day. In a holiday week your pickup moves one day later. See the holiday schedule.
$35 a month for two 64-gallon totes, $40 for a 96-gallon trash tote with a 64-gallon recycling tote, and $45 for two 96-gallon totes. One flat monthly rate, totes included, no hidden fees. In-driveway pickup, where we come up the driveway for the totes, is $115 to $135 a month.
A 64-gallon tote holds about four large kitchen bags and a 96-gallon tote about seven. One or two people usually fit in the 64. A household of four or more usually needs the 96. If you outgrow it, call and we swap it.
Fill out the sign-up form online, any time, or call 508-822-2208. We call back during office hours to confirm your pickup day, tote size and start date. Nothing is billed until your first collection.
