Call Today! The Westport Transfer Station on Hixbridge Road is a perfectly good option and some households should use it. Here is what it actually costs you.
Westport's sticker runs July to June at $50, or $40 if you are 65 or over. Trash on top is bought in punches: $45 for a ten-punch card, one punch per 33-gallon bag or barrel, so the meter keeps running after the sticker.
A mattress or box spring is $25 if it is clean and dry. Bug-infested, wet, frozen, soiled, torn or crushed and it is refused from recycling and charged as trash at $75, three times the price.
Plus the weekly run, and only while the gate is open: Thursday to Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Roughly 26 hours a year of your time, unpaid.
Every Tuesday, from your curb, for $30 a month flat. No punch cards, no sticker, no penalty for a mattress that sat out in the rain. Bulky items are a phone call and a price we tell you before we come.
Town of Westport sticker, punch card and mattress fees and transfer station hours as published by the town, schedule effective January 2026. Check with the town before you go.
Every Tuesday. Have your totes at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Recycling is collected the same day, every week. In a holiday week your pickup moves one day later. See the holiday schedule.
$30 a month for two 64-gallon totes, $35 for a 96-gallon trash tote with a 64-gallon recycling tote, and $40 for two 96-gallon totes. One flat monthly rate, totes included, no hidden fees.
A 64-gallon tote holds about four large kitchen bags and a 96-gallon tote about seven. One or two people usually fit in the 64. A household of four or more usually needs the 96. If you outgrow it, call and we swap it.
Fill out the sign-up form online, any time, or call 508-822-2208. We call back during office hours to confirm your pickup day, tote size and start date. Nothing is billed until your first collection.
