Can I change my tote size?

Yes, and there is no charge to swap, as long as it is a one-time change. Households change, and a tote size that suited you when the kids were home does not suit you afterwards. If you find yourself wanting to swap back and forth, call and we will work something out.

Call 508-822-2208 and tell us what you want. We schedule a day to bring the new tote and take the old one, and your rate moves to the new size.

The sizes:

• 64-gallon: about four large bags. 42 in high, 25 in wide, 29.5 in deep.
• 96-gallon: about seven large bags. 45 in high, 27.5 in wide, 33 in deep.

The 96 is not much wider than the 64, which surprises people. Most of the extra volume is depth, so it does not take up much more room in a garage or beside a house. The residential page has both side by side.

You can mix them. A 96 for trash with a 64 for recycling is our most common setup, and the reverse suits households that recycle heavily and throw away very little. If one tote is never enough whatever the size, a second one is the other option.
