In 22 of our 28 towns, curbside is $30 a month for two 64-gallon totes, $35 for a 96 and a 64, and $40 for two 96s. Cohasset, Duxbury, Hull, Marshfield and Scituate are $35, $40 and $45. Norwell is $40, $45 and $50. Flat rate, totes included, billed quarterly.

Your own town's page carries its rate, and billing is quarterly, so a $30 service is $90 every three months.
That is the whole price. No fuel surcharge, no environmental fee, no administrative fee, no annual increase you find out about on the bill. The number you are quoted is the number you pay, and the totes come with the service.
Which size? A 64-gallon tote holds about four large bags, a 96-gallon about seven. Most households of one to three people are comfortable on 64s. Four or more, or anyone with a lot of packaging coming in, tends to want the 96 for trash. Swapping size is free if you get it wrong.
What is extra: bags that do not fit in the tote are $5 for a kitchen bag and $10 for a contractor bag, booked ahead; a second trash tote is $20 a month and a second recycling tote $10; bulk items are priced per item; yard waste is $7 a bag; and in-driveway pickup is a separate rate.
